The High School That Rocked! Encore, Sat Aug 26 @ 5PM

“The High School That Rocked!” is an award-winning documentary short that tells the story of how six legendary bands in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame all performed at Staples High School from 1966-68, creating indelible memories for local students. It won the Jury Award for Best Regional Documentary at the SENE Film, Music & Arts Festival in Rhode Island recently.

Native Westporter and filmmaker, Douglas Tirola will lead a talkback after the screening with Fred Cantor, the film’s producer (Staples ’71).

The screening will be at Westport Historical Society, 25 Avery Place in Westport. This event is part of the #WestportRocksSummerFestival, in conjunction with the Westport Historical Society exhibit.

Tickets are $10 general admission. There is no discount for Westport Cinema Charter Members at this event.
