Who Killed The Electric Car? A green day Special Event, Sat May 14 – 6PM

Celebrate the 5th annual greenday with Staples’ Club Green, and watch the 2006 documentary “Who Killed the Electric Car?”

The first in what will soon be a trilogy of electric car movies, this film examines GM’s launch of the EV-1 in 1997, an electric auto that requires no gas, oil, muffler or brake changes and is, seemingly, the world’s first perfect car. Yet six years later, GM recalls and destroys the EV-1 fleet.

Location: Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave., Westport
Date and Time: Saturday, May 14 — 6:00 p.m.
At 4:45 at the Westport Library, you can test drive a Tesla followed by a parade sponsored by the Electric Car Club which will shuttle you to Town Hall.

Cost: Tickets are $10 each available at the door or online.
