A League of Their Own – Sun Nov 16, 4pm, Westport Town Hall

Playing competitive sports is a normal part of growing up today. Yet there was a time when girls did not compete as much as boys, primarily because they did not have the opportunity. Our upcoming movie titled, “A League of Their Own”, takes us back to World War II when a fictional group of women players decide to start a baseball league of their own while the guys are away, fighting overseas. Starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, and Madonna, this 1992 movie is ideal fare for the whole family, especially among the current crop of women baseball and Little League players.

We are proud to offer this program in partnership with Project Return, which sponsors a safe, caring and nurturing environment for adolescent girls and young women in crisis.
The event is sponsored by Lee Rawiszer of Paradigm Financial Partners.

Location: Westport Town Hall
Date and Time: Sunday, November 16, starting at 4 p.m.
Cost: Tickets are $10 each. Charter Members may buy 1 ticket for $8.
There will be a talk back – and for the first 30 people who buy tickets, a pizza supper at the Project Return residence on Compo Road North in Westport.
