Westport Cinema Initiative is sponsoring the Levitt Pavilion presentation of Martin Scorese’s “Shine A Light”, a documentary about the Rolling Stones.

“Shine a Light” is the acclaimed 2008 documentary film directed by Martin Scorsese documenting The Rolling Stones’ 2006 Beacon Theatre performance on their “A Bigger Bang Tour”. Hailed as “Phenomenal” (NY Times) and “Explosive” (Rolling Stone), the Scorsese film also includes archive footage from the band’s career and marked the first utilization by Scorsese of digital cinematography for his films with it being used for the backstage sequences.
